Forgium (FORGE)

FORGE is the native token of SplinterForge, and it has a total maximum supply of 9,000,000,000,000. Currently, there are 578,222,550 tokens in circulation out of the maximum supply. Players can earn FORGE by battling Bosses, Leaderboards rewards, landing the killing blow, and adding liquidity to the DEC:FORGE Liquidity-Pool.

In SplinterForge, FORGE is used and burned when:

  • Buying Bags.

  • Buying Elixers.

  • Rerolling random abilities on Bosses.

  • Reforging Equipment.

  • Transmuting Gems/Runes.

  • Fighting mini bosses in the Electrum Mine

This effectively reduces the total supply of FORGE in the economy. However, buying crates with FORGE does not burn the token - that goes to the developers, as mentioned .

250 million tokens have been minted to be used for bounties, promos, and marketing. Examples of distribution to date are the ForgeMasters Challenge (series of SL tournaments), LP rewards and art/bug bounties. There will be a maximum of 250 million tokens minted per year for these purposes.

500 million tokens have been pre-minted for battle and leaderboard reward distribution. Battles and leaderboard rewards are the main sources of new FORGE and the only draws from this pool. FORGE will be minted in batches on an as needed basis to fulfill future battle and leaderboard requirements.

The team has not minted any FORGE on their own behalf. The maximum the team may mint will be limited annually to 10% of rewards distributed the previous year. This means the team will not mint any FORGE until one full year after live launch, the first eligible mint date for the team will be on Jan 2nd, 2024. Uses for this FORGE can be, but are not limited to, increasing the reward pool, promotions, expenses, personal, or additional liquidity.

As of May 18th, 2023, a total of 750 million tokens have been minted, the following are some notable numbers regarding distribution:

~201 million FORGE has been burnt via BAG purchases and the use of various in game mechanics.

~162 million FORGE remain on the promo/marketing/bounty account for future use.

~29 million FORGE held in game for users.

~151 million FORGE remaining for future battle and leaderboard rewards.

~122 million FORGE is on the main team account, primarily from CRATE sales.

~52 million FORGE in LPs.
