Electrum is a resource in SplinterForge that players can earn by fighting Bosses. Once obtained, the resource can be used to make players' equipment stronger by adding sockets to it. Sockets are empty slots in the equipment that allow players to insert gems or runes, which greatly increase their Heroes' strength.

By using Electrum to add sockets to their equipment, players have the ability to customize their equipment to fit their specific playstyle and enhance their character's abilities. This adds a sense of personalization to the game that can be highly rewarding for players. It also allows players to theorycraft what the best build is for their desired strategy.

Furthermore, Electrum will have additional use cases in the future. This can include new ways to strengthen equipment, new items to purchase, and more. This not only adds to the game's depth and replay value but also provides players with a long-term goal to work towards as they strive to earn more Electrum to unlock new features and benefits. How exactly Electrum will have more use cases in the future is yet to be decided, so stay tuned!

Overall, Electrum plays a significant role in SplinterForge, providing players with a valuable resource to improve their character's strength and enhance their gameplay experience.
